A number of years ago, I owned a women’s clothing boutique. I carried everything from jeans and tees to cashmere and beautiful accessories. When I set out to merchandise my store, I had three priorities – fabulous tee shirts, great fitting jeans and sumptious cashmere! Though I’m no longer a retailer, I’m still a devoTEE (pun intended!) of James Perse tee shirts.
James Perse is an actual person – not just a name on a label. He started his company in 1994 and launched a tee shirt line that rapidly gained loyal fans looking for his seamless blend of the lux and the casual. Since then, he has grown his global empire to include retail stores and prominent retail exposure at top specialty retailers such as Barney’s New York, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. In 2007, James Perse launched an online shopping site, providing a broader audience direct access to the brand.
His price points are on the higher side but I promise you – they are worth every penny. His basics are a perfect fit and his graphic tees are eye-catching and original. Oh – and James is not just a one trick pony – he also has a fabulous cashmere line which has the same perfect fit as his tees.
