$7 bucks and change.. for LONG great looking lashes!

If you have naturally long eye lashes and just want them to be noticeably LONG and separated, this is the best mascara out there! Swear to God… I have used them all and find that this one is the best! Next time you are out at your local CVS, pick up a tube, you won’t be sorry. I have put down all others for this one. It is no nonsense, good plastic brush, and no clumping… Nothing else to say except FREAKING GREAT!

Set a Goal and Meet It.. Head On…

This is my very first Video Blog.. I didn’t want to over think, over plan, and over prepare… I thought to jump in, do it, get it done, since I told about 6 people I was going to start video blogging.. I HAD TO DO IT… I don’t prefer to be thought of as “hot air.”  I am a doer, and that is how I live, breathe and operate. While it isn’t perfect, it was fun, challenging to step outside my comfort zone and go it alone.  I hope you enjoy it… I will improve with practice and hope to entertain, inform, and impart wisely, responsibly… responsibly within my world of reasoning, which can be drastically different than the norm… my gift to you is direct, without pretense… me..

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year; to Spruce up Your Cosmetics Collection

It’s hard to believe it’s that time of the year again… The trees are lit, Rudolph is on the tube and I can smell the eggnog. But the best part of the holiday season can be found in your local department stores cosmetic department.

Ladies this is THE time to get out and get shopping.  Wether you are looking for gifts for others or you simply want to spoil yourself, now is the time to do it.  Virtually every line is in gift!!! Yes girls, this means mini mascaras, lipsticks and trial size tubes of skin care a plenty!!

Bloomies, for instance,

Bobbi Brown: Tube Tint (lipgloss) Trio, including Cherry Tint, Blossom Tint and Twilight Shimmer, all full-sized with SPF 15. Yours for just $28.  Maybe you need brushes, usually a more pricey (yet imperative) investment, for $55  (also Bobbi), you can have the chrome mini brush set, including the cute chrome zip around brush bag, Mini Ultra FineEyeliner Brush, new Mini Angle Eyeshadow Brush and Mini Face Blender Brush.  This is a great deal because Bobbi Brown brushes, in my opinion are top of the line.  In addition the small size of the brushes enclosed in the case make it is to travel with your tools. Lancome offers up a beautiful Eyeshadow/blush palet in plum or earth tones.  That is a $78 value, yours for $39.50!!!  Dior’s Deluxe Makeup palette with travel size favorites for eyes lips and face. Includes and a mirror in a black patent case with signature “D” hardwear. An absolutely great gift for any queen and under $100!!!!

Any store you walk in to right now will be offering deals like these.  They are crazy with free gifts and gift sets! I only mentioned a few from ONE store!!!!  Run dont walk to your fave store today and treat yourself and the ones you love with some makeup baby!!!!

Eyeko Cosmetics…. a Gift from Across the Pond…LONDON.. that is…!!!

I have been a makeup artist for many years.  I have personally witnessed the launch of some great cosmetic lines.  Many of them were cutting edge and different from the pack and it is always remains exciting to me! With that being said, let me try to put into words what I felt when I stumbled upon Eyeko beauty line. I was amazed!  I was elated!  I was reminded why make up is fun!!!

Eyeko is a truely unique collection that comes to us from the UK.  I would challenge anyone to go online andand try to log off without purchasing something.

First thing that struck me was all that pink on the web site!!!! There are flowers and Japanese cartoons. The packaging looks more like candy and toys than make up.  Kitchy-girly-retro and modern all in one!!!  Investigate further and it is totally clear that this line was created for us! The everyday girl who aspires to shine like a star.  Eyeko makes that absolutely possible! They take products that result in having that famous glow or the nails you see on your favorite artist at the Mtv VMA’s.  The desire to have the lips of that “it” girl and lashes of runway model.

With an incredibly reasonable price point, and packaging that was created so you get every little morsel out of the tub or tube.  Speaking of tubes, Eyeko mascara is packaged in a tube that you are use to seeing a lipgloss in. You screw the top off and out pops the wand.  The beauty is that you can literally squeeze every last bit of mascara from the vessel before discarding! The mascara is rich and smooth. It fattens up the lashes extends the length and even gives them a perfect fake eyelash curl!!!!! Three products in one!

The fat balms are a product for the lips and face. They can be used to give your pout a beautiful natural and rosy shine.  Dont stop there.  Take one of those multi use balms and apply to your cheeks for a fresh flush. Two products in one!!

The nail polishes are so much fun!!!! There are the bold blues blacks.  There are the more demure nude lilac and classic pink and all equally fun.  The formula is practical no matter what color. No color fading due to UV absorbers, and chip resistent and nail strengthening too!!!

It is a full service line including color skincare and just about everything in between!!!!! Great for gifts.  Great for spoiling yourself with out blowing a hole in your pocket!!

Dont walk. RUN to your computer to check out this indubidably delicious site! www.eyeko.com

29 Pages of Make-up Fun! Benefit Cosmetic Catalog Delivers on Art Direction, Package Design and,of Course, Quality Products!

$58, The Sexy Starlet Kit!

$58, The Sexy Starlet Kit!

I went to a department store two days ago and watched the Christmas decorations being hung and I got Depressed.  Is it really that time? I was totally immersed in the unwelcome reality that winter is upon us.  Just when i was about to (reluctantly ) snap out of denial and try with all of my might to find a few reasons to get excited about winter, there it was infront of me!!! 29 Pages of reasons to be excited for the season. Thank you Mr. Mailman for delivering my 2009 Benefit Holiday gift guide.

I am on page one and I find something I dont think I will be able to live without!  The Sexy Starlet Kit! Who couldn’t love a product with this name?  Packaged in an adoralble pink clutch, it includes Bad Gal lash Mascara and its rich black tone and ultra fat wand make for serious volume and length. Also enclosed is “Some Kind of Gorgeous” Oil Free “foundation faker”.  It gives natural  airy chiffon-like  coverage and blends effortlessly onto skin.  Finally, “Coralista” a perfectly warm flirty coral-pink blush to sweep all over your cheeks for that back-from-the-beach look.

Aside from the array of kitchy fun sets there are so many unique items to order up “a la carte”.  The glosses glisten without being gooey and sticky. With eight wonderful shades to pick from it is hard to name a fave, but I always have and always will love “Kiss You”.  The clear fuchsia gloss literally looks great on anyone!  “Dr. Feelgood” is an absolute must-have and a total must-do before applying face makeup. It as invisible complexion balm that mattes shine and diminishes the appearance of pores and fine lines.  Finally the product I can not live ithout in cold dry air of winter, “Dear John” facial moisturizer containing marshmallow root fruit extracts and antioxidants this cream is nourishing for even the dryest of faces.

I was a makeup artist for Benefit and I feel like, in my heart, I will be  forever.  I could go on about why I love this line for days. Benefit has a product to fix anything and make everything look as beautiful as possible and the ornate fun clever packaging rocks!  Benefit reminds me all the time why it is fun to be a girl!!!
