This weekend, one particular customer came into my craft booth at SONO Arts and told me a story that I couldn’t ignore! She told me she just lost about 30 lbs, and is steadily losing one pound a day HEALTHFULLY! In the midst of moving, sewing, doing shows and working full time I had the unfortunate experience of my Jeep Grand Cherokee’s rear passenger window getting stuck open! This was monumentally inconvenient, not to mention unattractive, as I had to tape plastic to cover the opening. I immediately thought of Gil at Auto Sounds and More who has helped me before in fixing my bosses son’s car to return it to the leasing department! There is nothing Gil cannot do! I brought my car over this afternoon and watched him as he disassembled my door, taking off the panel and then the plastic coating to reveal the inner workings of my window motor! It was fascinating to watch him work. He knows his way around an electrical system like no other due to his extensive car audio installation work!

I was amazed at how fast he worked and was grateful as he created a temporary gadget to hold the window closed until my part arrives from California! I then asked him what his specialties were and he told me about:

Custom Fabrication (Personalization)- he loves to install electronic devices in cars to create a great driving experience. While I was there he was working on a back up system with lights for a Land Rover so that the driver could be alarmed if they came to close to something while backing up.

He traced all the wires and found the source of the issue and saved the client’s car! It was a wire shorting and burning out continuously. Being a woman, I am reluctant to believe any mechanic or man who works on a car because they can take advantage of a woman’s lack of car knowledge, but let me assure you, he is not one of those! His prices are more than fair!

He also installs home entertainment systems! Gil is honest, hardworking and will do what it takes to fit you in when he can and to let you know exactly what the problem is and what it will take to fix it! He also played some of my favorite music while working and didn’t mind me watching every move he made! I love to watch people fix things! His shop is spotless and a pleasure to visit!

I can so identify with Angela because being an entrepreneur is like a fast track to business school without the formal education!  You have to be the visionary, the marketer, the accountant, the face of the brand and you learn so much in the process.  It is an infectious endeavor and creates a natural ability to want to help others along in their process!

I started Savor the Success with my husband, Marc (the brains behind the site), because as a business woman, I was craving a way to grow my business and make meaningful connections in a structured, organized way.

I do not have an MBA, nor do I have a business background. Like many women, I followed my bliss and found myself building a business that I loved. I needed some real nuts-and-bolts guidance– from launching to making millions.

As a concert pianist by trade, I often had the daunting task of memorizing hundreds of pages of music and performing in front of hundreds and thousands of people.

The process that I developed—getting from the practice room to the concert stage—served me well as I built Om Aroma & Co., the luxury organic spa and skincare company, that I founded in 2007.

From creating the cream formulas to landing dream accounts in five-star luxury resorts and spas in a very short period of time, I used the same building techniques that I had developed as a concert pianist.

People began to notice and started asking how I was able to build a brand new skincare company while going on an intense 40-concert tour across the United States.

I don’t come from a lot of money and I don’t have amazing connections. Women were responding to the fact that I am an ordinary person climbing the ladder step by step with the process that I have created for myself. 

I began leading workshops since I was passionate about helping women to bring their projects to life and sharing my knowledge of how to get to the next level.

I take at least ten steps a day to reach my goals. Others take ten a month. Some take ten a year. What do you do? It’s all about how you play your game. Are you ready for serious movement in your life?

For the longest time I have been telling my friends that IF I ever went camping with a guy and took a dip in the lake, and didn’t have access to a blow dryer the guy would run for the hills once my hair “air dried”!! My unblown hair looks like a cross between bozo the clown and Rosanna Dana from SNL, back in the day! I swear to you, I could never let my hair air dry!
