I use a bronzer year round and have been stuck on this older one mentioned earlier in this blog… but had a visit this past weekend from a friend, who is a make up artist! She introduced me to Nars LAGUNA! This product is great because it looks perfect on you no matter what skin tone you are… I happen to be very light skinned and my friend who uses it happens to be very tanned and olive skinned. It made our mutual faces glowy and even.

with NARS LAGUNA!
I am attempting to get my make up artist friend to create posts here so that we can all benefit from her advice! Perhaps after she comes back from South Beach next week! In the meantime, update your make up collection with Nars Laguna, you won’t be disappointed! Take a kabuki brush and put it everywhere on your face, not only on your cheeks! Really blend it with the brush.. your face will look airbrushed!

Christiane Celle is the genius behind Calypso. Her brand of beautiful, bohemian fashion has established her stores as a “must go”, whether in NYC, Boston, Paris or St. Tropez. Over the past 16 years, the retailer has grown from a small resort-wear line to a global luxury lifestyle brand with a passionate following. While I’m a huge fan of her clothing and home goods, I’m especially in love with her perfumes. Her line includes nine delicious fragrances ranging from Mimosa and Gardenia to Vanille and, my personal favorite – Chevrefeuille. This elegant fragrance is a cool mix of Honeysuckle, Orange and Bergamot with a warm finish of Neroli and Jasmine.
You can find it online here for $50: http://bit.ly/Calypso
It retails for $55 but I’ve found it on Ebay for as low as $45.99.
If you’re in the market for a new, light summer fragrance, this may just be what you’re looking for.

It used to be that tickets to a Broadway show didn’t set you back a mortgage payment. As the price of a ticket has climbed to well over $100, a night at the theater became much more difficult to afford. Fear not, you frustrated thespians! There are several websites that offer discounted tickets to great seats to fabulous shows.
One site is called NYTix.com – www.nytix.com, Here, you can find tickets to nearly every Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway production at a fraction of the regular price. A small fee ($4) gets you a month of access to discount codes that bring the price down to as low as $66.50 for an orchestra seat.
Another site is – http://www.theatermania.com/ – which has discounted tickets to shows all over the world – NYC, London, Las Vegas and many more. There’s no fee to sign up – just an email address and a password – and besides going directly to the site to search for a show, you’ll receive frequent email offers. I recently bought tickets to “Desire Under the Elms” for $68 apiece
The last site that I love is www.broadwaybox.com/ – which works much like the previous two but there’s no fee or sign up required to get the discount codes.
All of these sites have some overlap (the discounts are usually exactly the same or very, very similar) but if you’re a theater buff, try one! These days, we can all use a little cultural escape!

James Perse sleeveless pocket tee tunic- $65
A number of years ago, I owned a women’s clothing boutique. I carried everything from jeans and tees to cashmere and beautiful accessories. When I set out to merchandise my store, I had three priorities – fabulous tee shirts, great fitting jeans and sumptious cashmere! Though I’m no longer a retailer, I’m still a devoTEE (pun intended!) of James Perse tee shirts.
James Perse is an actual person – not just a name on a label. He started his company in 1994 and launched a tee shirt line that rapidly gained loyal fans looking for his seamless blend of the lux and the casual. Since then, he has grown his global empire to include retail stores and prominent retail exposure at top specialty retailers such as Barney’s New York, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. In 2007, James Perse launched an online shopping site, providing a broader audience direct access to the brand.
His price points are on the higher side but I promise you – they are worth every penny. His basics are a perfect fit and his graphic tees are eye-catching and original. Oh – and James is not just a one trick pony – he also has a fabulous cashmere line which has the same perfect fit as his tees.
Check out his website – http://www.jamesperse.com–
and if you’re in the West Village, visit his two stores: 411 Bleecker Street and 361 Bleecker Street.

Positively smudge-proof and guaranteed to survive anytime you shed a tear
Are you looking for that foolproof mascara that stays put no matter what? Are you sick of taking off your waterproof mascara with makeup remover? Do you want to look like a million bucks when you wake up in the morning after a “sleepover” with a new guy? Well girls, I’ve got the mascara for you. Blinc mascara is the original mascara invented to form tiny water-resistant “tubes” around your lashes. Once applied, the tubes bind to your lashes and cannot run, smudge, clump, or flake, even if you cry or rub your eyes. It also adds volume and length and it comes off with warm water. The tubes will slide off your lashes effortlessly and, upon removal, you will actually see the tiny tubes in your hand! I swear! So invest the best $25 you’ll ever spend on mascara and feel free to dance in the rain or cry at a sappy movie. No one will ever know!

Creed is a well known perfumer with many scents in their product line. One of their most famous scents is “Spring Flowers” because it was worn by Audrey Hepburn. It comes in a signature hot pink bottle and was known to drive men wild!
Well…….I’m no Audrey Hepburn so I have found another Creed fragrance that I’ve worn for many years and it’s become MY signature. It’s called “Fleurissimo”.

Guaranteed to give you a night to remember!
It’s an exquisite bouquet of regal beauty created for the legendary Grace Kelly, commissioned by her husband, Prince Rainier of Monaco, to wear for the first time on her wedding day. An intoxicating blend of tuberose, Bulgarian rose, violet and Florentine iris, Creed Fleurissimo will bring out the princess in any woman. This extraordinary fragrance was also a treasured favorite of another American royal – Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
This is one of those perfumes that always prompts someone to ask me “what are you wearing?”. It’s light, yet sexy, not overpowering and smells like a new spring day.
There are many sites where you can buy this fragrance but since the 2.5 oz. size retails for $210, I recommend these sites for a great discounted price!
